In 1991, two San ethnic groups of the South African Defence Force’s Bushmen Battalion, the !Xu and Khwe, were escorted by plane to South Africa from their ancestoral homes in Angola and Namibia, and given land in the Northern Cape to live on.
They live today in the township of Platfontein outside Kimberly as modern South Africans in touch with the magic of their ancestoral worlds.
