Lowprofile is a melodic punk rock band from Durban, formed in 2003. No gimmicks, no eyeliner, just heartfelt and honest, full-blast melodic punk rock with a side helping of ska. Inspired by the mid ‘90s punk revival, Lowprofile bang it out hard and fast, with a modern technical twist, catchy harmonies, and an unshakeable love for metal. Remember all those bands you used to love? We do. To date, Lowprofile have released two full length albums – Talk to Strangers (2005), Wings! Don’t Fail Me Now (2007) – and two music videos. The band has also toured the country, played at several major festivals, and appeared in various forms of media (TV, radio, websites, magazines, and newspapers). Lowprofile is (and always will be); Ozzie – guitar and vocals, Skeg – bass and vocals, Woogy – guitar, and Yusuf – drums and vocals. Love the music you play, and play the music you love. She looked at Bongani and said, 'Let's start a band when we get home. We must email Christie and tell her.' At that same moment in time Christie Desfontaine was walking the streets of Hawaii, but was not thinking about starting a band at all. Needless to say, 'The Arrows' were born when the 3 of them were reunited in their hometown of Durban, South Africa, and the rest is history. They've been playing their music all over the place since then and are still doing so with much excitement . Yamaha really likes them and gave them lots of free stuff - yay! |
